What does a workshop look like?
A LEGO® Serious Play® workshop is always tailor-made. Together, we determine in advance what your team needs:
An energetic icebreaker, a purposeful team-building activity or an in-depth exploration of a specific theme such as change, collaboration, strategy or culture.
Based on your goals, I design a playful but goal-oriented program. The workshop starts with a short introduction, after which we immediately get to work building, sharing and reflecting.
The possibilities are countless. The focus could be on:
Team Vision & Direction
Helps teams build a shared understanding of where they want to go.
Ideal for: MTs, project teams or leaders who want to set new goals.
Clarify roles and ways of working
Teams build their roles, expectations and hidden talents.
This clarifies interdependencies and quickly reveals bottlenecks.
Result: A team that understands mutual dependencies and how to strengthen each other.
Uncovering obstacles and opportunities in change
A playful and sometimes incisive tool for exposing resistance, risks and opportunities surrounding organizational- or team change. It can identify bottlenecks and bring unexpected opportunities to the surface.
An energy boost!
Teams build out-of-the-box solutions for a challenging question.
Expect laughter, surprising ideas and new perspectives that you would never get with traditional brainstorming sessions or endless slide decks.
Strengthening connection and building trust within the team
Based on everyone's LEGO creations, team members share experiences, values and motivations. Building as a metaphor opens up conversations that would normally not take place.
The result? People feel seen, understood and more connected. You also get to know your colleagues better!
Practical information
- A workshop typically ranges from 2 to 4 hours in duration
- The workshop can take place at your desired location
- The group size is 4 to 12 participants, larger in consultation
- A (large) screen is useful, a table/desk where participants can be seated is essential
- Got another question? Let it know, there are many possibilities!

The science behind LEGO® Serious Play®
You may be thinking: “Seriously? Science behind LSP?” Yes, really.
LSP isn't just playing with blocks, it's firmly rooted in psychology and learning principles. The idea is simple: By building, we think better. And that's not only great fun, it's also proven to be effective.
Constructivism
According to this theory, we learn by actively constructing knowledge and meaning from experiences.
Your brain loves puzzles and by creating something tangible, you connect ideas on a deeper level. The result?
More insight, more creativity, and fewer boring PowerPoint presentations.
Constructionism
This goes one step further: Learning by making things that have meaning. Not just for you, but also for the people around you.
The beauty of it is that you create something together that you can see, touch, and discuss. That suddenly makes complex subjects clear and concrete.
Flow Theory
Do you know that feeling when you are completely absorbed in what you are doing and time just flies by? That is flow.
Mihály Csíkszentmihályi discovered and described that we are at our best when challenge and skill are in balance.
LSP helps you get exactly there: Focused and creative while having fun!

“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation”
– Plato
